Chemmozhi Tamizh Valarchi Kazhagam welcomes individuals who wish to support the preservation, promotion, and global growth of Classical Tamil. Membership is open to all without discrimination based on age, gender, religion, caste, or colour.
Who Can Join
Membership in Chemmozhi Tamizh Valarchi Kazhagam is open to all. The minimum age to become a member is 18 years. Donors are recognised as members, and there is no upper limit on donation.
Entrance Fee
Every member shall pay an entrance fee of Rs. 1/- per subject, subject to a maximum of Rs. 10/-. No entrance fee shall be payable by nominees or heirs of deceased members when membership is claimed by nomination or succession.
Role of Members
Members support the Kazhagam's objectives for Tamil research, education, literature, culture, publications, awards, and global Tamil collaboration. Donors (members) do not have the right to interfere in the administration of the Trust.
Members also do not have the right to receive personal benefit from the Trust. At the time of dissolution, the Board of Management shall share the properties and bank balance equally among the members as provided in the trust deed.
Board of Trustees
The executive committee shall meet as often as necessary, at least once in three months, on matters relating to the managing trustee. The Board of Trustees consists of five members, including the managing trustee.

Cessation of Membership
A member of the Trust shall cease to be a member if he or she:
- Applies to be adjudicated insolvent, or is adjudicated insolvent.
- Is sentenced for an offence under the relevant provisions of the Act, provided that membership shall be restored if the sentence is annulled on appeal or revision.
- Undertakes, directly or indirectly, any activity similar to that of the Trust or inconsistent with, or prejudicial to, the objectives of the Trust.
